A reaally big amusement park. You can’t see rides in the picture but they’re there.

We harvested a ton of snails here. We had to walk about a mile out in this really thick mud but it was a lot of fun10439471_477496515717938_6392711152909868902_n

A game the neighborhood girls played. You have to toss the rocks into the air and catch them with one hand and the ones in your hand are placed in your bank or like your pile. pic1

Me on a Hammock with the dogs, Yin and Yang. They ride motorcycles there and it can get soo CRAY on those roads.

My two favorite cousins. They’re so cute.10556514_477502785717311_7865458727628142839_n

Eating together (I’m in the green shirt)615514_477505252383731_8412303850193986628_o

These photos really captured the moments in Vietnam. As a Vietnamese/Chinese person, I do not do many of their cultural aspects in their everyday lives. It was a life changing experience to be in another country and following their customs. They buy a handful of groceries everyday to make fresh meals rather than going to the supermarket and filling up a car. They only use motorcycles or bikes for travel. The parks are beautiful. Eating together on the floor was something my family and I hadn’t done in a long time and we had that chance in the photo above. Since then, we haven’t done it at home or any really big dinner for that matter.

  1. Love this post. So culturally rich and so cute at the same time! We have the same tradition of sitting on the floor eating, it really brings everyone together and has its own fun in it. The photos are really cool.

    1. omg thank you a bunches. If you don’t mind me asking, what your ethnicity, i guess hahha, is? Like the country/tradition you’re referring to. But yeah many I want to say Asian countries do it which is really cool because the room is so lively.

      1. I’m from Pakistan. But the culture of sitting on the floor for eating is common amongst Muslim cultures all over the world and not just one country 🙂

      3. You’re welcome 🙂
We used to do it like everyday when I was a kid. But as time has passed we have kind of lost that tradition as well. We still do it but not as often as before.
