Sunflowers: The Flower of Happiness and Awesomeness

field.jpgSome of you might know sunflowers for their yummy seeds when roasted with salt or know sunflower seed oil, but the flower itself is a beauty.

Sunflowers moves to wherever the sun is so that it can absorb as much sun rays as possible. With bright yellow petals, sunflowers symbolize happiness and energy in many countries.

Sunflowers has many meanings. It stands for longevity, innocence, admiration for someone, positivism, and of course happiness.

The Sunflower’s Message Is…

Stand tall and follow your dreams. Focus on what’s positive in your life and don’t let anyone get you down.

a flower.jpg*little science section* Something you might not know is that sunflowers can be a part of a practice called phytoremediation. It is when green plants take out all of the bad stuff that could be in soil like heavy metals and contaminants. Soil carries a lot of responsibilities for other plants. It’s there to give plants nutrients, a home for critters, and prevent erosion. To learn more about soil degradation and what it means, follow up Here

So on top of already lookin’ so fine, it does great things for our earth. It’s like it was meant to be awesome. It’s my second favorite flower because it makes me happy. Rather than looking at the sun and having my eyeballs burn, it’s nice to look at these instead!

There have been many downs in my life. I’ve always looked at life like a half empty cup. When I thought nothing could change, that things would never get better, a sunflower reminded me to never let anyone get the best of me. To recognize sunflowers shows an individual that things will get better. I really get a sort of strength looking at them and I smile a lot when thinking about sunflowers. It has its own Shine.

Staying positive means your surroundings will be positive too. When it rains, always know sunflowers will still be standing and the sun’s rays will shine again.

What do you think about sunflowers?

What is your favorite flower?
